Although its proud history extends back to the early 1900s, today's Nisshin Steel was incorporated in April 1959 with the merger of Nihon Teppan and Nichia Steel. With the installation of our first blast furnace in 1962, we evolved into an integrated steel manufacturer and staked our place as a specialist in the coated steel sheet and stainless steel sheet markets. Since then, Nisshin Steel has continued to be the industry leader, making progress in all areas of its business. We developed a highly praised proprietary gas-wiping (YG) method for galvanizing and aluminizing steel sheet. We have also led the industry with tandem Sendzimir mills, converters, vacuum degassing, and other sophisticated technologies. Today, we are the leader for both quality and volume of production in the special steel industry, especially in the field of cold-rolled special steel strip.    Today, Nisshin Steel is growing closer to consumer industries, as it continues to foster business by paying close attention to client needs and developing new products and applications.
