Galvanized steel is hot dip Zinc coated steel sheet. Coating layer is almost pure Zinc. Two types of surface finish are available; Regular spangle and Minimized spangle.
	Advantages
	1. Corrosion resistance   Zinc coating prevents corrosion by sealing off the steel surface from corrosive environment. If the coating is accidentally scratched the surrounding zinc then acts as a sacrificial anode and "heals the wound". This is called "sacrificial protection". 2. Good formability   Galvanized steel has a minimum Iron-Zinc alloy layer. This insures that the coating will not peel under normal forming methods.
