Steel Holds Reception, Tour of Toyo Works for Business Partners |

Nisshin Steel
began construction of the Toyo Works in Toyo, Ehime Prefecture in December
1996 as a production base for surface-treated steel sheet. Commercial operations
at the work's rolling on scale pickling line began in October 1999, with
tandem cold-rolling mill and hot and cold continuos galvanizing line beginning
operations in April and May 2000, respectively. On July 13, 2000 the Company
invited 180 customers and business partners and held a reception as outlined

Attendees (180) Executives representing the Company's major customers from the housing, construction, automotive, electronics, and other fields, as well as representatives of trading houses, warehouses and distributors 5. Main Company Representatives Minoru Tanaka, Chairman, President, and CEO Yasushige Miyagawa, Executive Vice President Naoshi Goto, Senior Managing Director Kazuo Hoshino, Senior Managing Director Nobuhiko Hayashi, Managing Director Fumio Hoshi, Managing Director Takuo Tanaka, Managing Director Toshinori Miki, Works General Manager, Toyo Works Other Company executives. Earlier in the year, the Company invited Ehime Governor Moriyuki Kato, local government officials, and executives from construction firms and equipment suppliers involved in the project to a ceremony on June 2, 2000 to mark the completion of the works.
