(1) Outline
of Rolling on Scale Pickling Line (start-up: October 1999) - Specifications a. strip thickness: 0.8mm-6.0 mm b. strip width: 600mm-1,350 mm c. Pickling method: Hydrochloric acid pickling d. Capacity: Approx. 90,000 metric tons a month - Special Characteristics Pickling line utilizing the world's first mechanical descaler a. Enhanced descaling capability allows better quality and lighter reduction in the subsequent cold-rolling process. b. Compact line with a minimal pickling tank size keeps equipment costs low and improves productivity. (2) Outline of Tandem Cold Rolling Mill (start-up: April 2000) - Specifications a. strip thickness: 0.15mm - 4.0 mm b. strip width: 580mm - 1,350mm c. configuration: Six-high, four-stand d. Capacity: Approx. 90,000 metric tons a month - Characteristics a. The world's first UC mill with small-diameter work rolls installed in all stands, incorporating our own sheet crown control with the latest automatic gauge control (AGC) system, greatly enhances gauge accuracy and produces highly versatile sheet crowns to suit intended applications. b. Rolling under strong hydraulic screwdown contributes to expand the available size range of steel sheet for highly-processed uses. c. Neuro fuzzy control significant improves product shape. d. Increased productivity through complete integration with preroll pickling facilities. (3) Outline of Hot and Cold Continuous Galvanizing Line (start-up: May 2000) - Specifications a. strip thickness: 0.8mm - 6.0 mm b. strip width: 600mm - 1,350 mm c. Products: Galvanized sheet, Paintite (hot dipped zinc-coated steel), Star Galfan (5% aluminum-zinc-alloy-coated steel), and ZAM (hot dipped 6% aluminum, 3% magnesium and zinc alloy-coated steel) d. Production Capacity: Approx. 40,000 metric tons a month - Characteristics a. Diverse after-treatments to meet users' needs b. Enhanced annealing furnace manageability and improved product quality through combination of vertical direct reduction furnace and horizontal radiant tube furnace. c. Increased productivity through introduction of automated equipment and automation of internal transport. |
