system that appropriately manages the prevention of risk and crisis
management should a risk become a reality. We also have a compliance
promotion system to ensure public trust, and are working to strengthen

system in which a risk management committee and a risk management
promotion office are set up to control in a unified way throughout
the company any risk that will have a major impact on our group of
companies, including risk within various divisions dealing with environmental
protection, safety and disaster prevention, quality control, and information
control. |

As
a corporate citizen, adhering to laws and regulations is an important
fundamental for our company, and we have set forth this basic stance
and approach toward compliance in our Corporate Action Standards and
Code of Behavior. We have a compliance promotion committee specifically
to keep these standards and put them into effect, and we are strengthening
our arrangements to encourage compliance with the establishment of
an internal report and consultation system.

As
policy in conducting business activities, our company has enacted
Corporate Action Standards and a Code of Behavior that declare, "We
will respect human rights and comply with the letter and spirit of
all laws, domestic or foreign, and international rules, and will act
autonomously with sound social sense to create a sustainable society.
While being an economic entity that pursues profit through fair competition,
our company will pursue benefit for the general public as a corporate
goal." And in effecting what is declared in our Corporate Action
Standards, we have enacted a Code of Behavior as policy to be followed
by each employee.
