The
direction our group of companies aims for
Nisshin
Steel got its start in 1959 with the merger of two steel companies,
Nihon Teppan and Nichia Seiko, and since then we have built our
own position in the turbulent Japanese steel industry, growing new
day by day as indicated by the two characters of our name.At the
time of the merger the company precepts stressed three points, "to
discharge our professional responsibilities through cooperation
and harmony, to keep abreast of world developments in a concept
of originality and boldness with prudent decisiveness, and to foster
a fair and magnanimous corporate culture, encouraging free thinking
and powers of judgment."
Nisshin Steel has
grown into a steelmaker that specializes in high-value-added surface-treated
steel strip and stainless steel, and our action policy enacted in
1989 toward the goal of being a company of excellence in the 21st
century sets forth three goals: "to make rapid advances for
the world and the future while helping to build an abundant society,
to strive to create new value day by day through unrelenting self-renewal,
and to always take on the challenge of the possible, with courage
and unafraid of setbacks."
Our 15th medium-term
business plan formulated in 2004 sets forth the company's corporate
responsibility and vision, and puts in place management concepts
to more clearly present the direction to be pursued by the company
and the values we consider important. Our group of companies carries
out its business activities based on these management concepts.
